According to the Communications and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in line with improving urban infrastructure and enhancing traffic flow and street safety in the city, extensive and continuous asphalt paving operations were carried out across Arak's streets and various roads. In the first 9 months of 1404, the Arak Municipality successfully produced and distributed 141 thousand tons of asphalt in full at the municipal asphalt plant. This operation was implemented in various parts of the city and had a significant impact on improving traffic conditions and smoothing the movement of vehicles on public roads. This activity was carried out in different parts of the city, including main streets, neighborhoods, and secondary roads that needed repair and reconstruction, and high-traffic areas and main roads that play a vital role in the daily movement of citizens were given priority. To carry out this operation, high-quality hot asphalt was used so that it could withstand various weather conditions and have a longer lifespan. The asphalt paving implementation process included demolition and removal of old layers, leveling the surface, and then laying new asphalt layers. One of the most important goals and achievements of these measures was improving the quality of road asphalt, which significantly increased the safety of drivers and sidewalks. Also, by repairing roads and eliminating existing problems, traffic movement speed improved and traffic load decreased. The asphalt paving operation in the first 9 months of 1404 was successfully completed, and its positive effects on urban traffic, reducing traffic problems, and improving urban road conditions are clearly visible. This trend will continue in the coming years so that we can witness a city with higher-quality streets and roads and greater safety for citizens.
