Holding the first meeting of the detailed plan for region four of Arak Municipality
According to the report of the Communications and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolis Municipality, the first meeting of the detailed plan for region four of Arak Municipality was held with the presence of the plan consultant and the representative of the Housing and Urban Development Department in the Urban Planning Deputy. This meeting was held with the aim of reviewing various aspects of the plan, coordinating executive actions, and exchanging views on urban development programs for region 4. During the meeting, topics related to spatial organization, improving the quality of the urban environment, and aligning the plan with the needs of citizens were discussed and reviewed to provide the groundwork for the precise and efficient implementation of the detailed plan.

Transformation in the process of handling requests; reduction of case review time
According to the report of the Communications and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, the process of handling requests that are inconsistent with the detailed plan in the municipality areas has undergone structural changes since September of this year. According to Zandieh-Vakili, the head of the Urban Planning and Architecture Department, these changes have been implemented with the aim of increasing decision-making speed and enhancing citizen satisfaction. He explained this new approach by stating: According to the revised guidelines, meetings to review requests inconsistent with the detailed plan are held directly in the regional manager's office, and only the presence of the owner in these meetings is necessary. He stated that eliminating unnecessary commutes and consolidating the review process at the regional level has reduced the burden of visits and allowed for a more precise organization of the expert review process. The head of the Urban Planning and Architecture Department, referring to the results of this structural change, added: According to recorded statistics, the average time for handling requests in the Urban Planning and Architecture Department has been reduced to about one week. Additionally, after preparing the necessary agreements, cases are sent without interruption to the secretariat of Article 5 Commission so that the stages of approval, supplementary expert review, and issuance of permits can be completed in the shortest possible time. He considered this transformation an effective step towards facilitating administrative processes, increasing transparency in decision-making, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens, and emphasized that the implementation of this new approach, while creating coherence in the case review process, will play an important role in the optimal management of requests and improving the interaction of the municipality with owners.

A significant step by the Arak Municipality in improving energy efficiency of buildings / Energy plaque requirement from January
A specialized meeting to examine the executive challenges and provide solutions for enhancing oversight on the implementation of Article 19 of the National Building Regulations, focusing on optimizing energy consumption, was held at the Arak metropolitan municipality. According to the Arak Municipality's Department of Communications and International Affairs, this meeting titled 'Discussion and expert exchange regarding the examination of executive challenges, creating uniform procedures, coherent planning, and effective oversight on the implementation of Article 19', was chaired by Zandieh-Vakili, the head of the Urban Planning and Architecture Department of the Arak Municipality, and attended by Asgari, the mayor of District Two, representatives of the Engineering System Organization in the energy sector, experts from the Urban Planning Department, and also experts from the six districts of the municipality, in the meeting hall of the Arak metropolitan municipality. At the beginning of this meeting, Zandieh-Vakili emphasized the strategic importance of accurately implementing the regulations of Article 19 of the National Building Regulations, stating: from January 19 of this year, the issuance of energy plaques for all construction projects is mandatory, and the Arak Municipality is required to condition the issuance of any construction permit on the provision of this energy rating. He pointed out the direct impact of the correct implementation of this article on reducing energy consumption, improving construction quality, increasing citizens' comfort, and moving towards sustainable development, calling for greater synergy between the municipality, the Engineering System Organization, and other relevant agencies. In the continuation of this meeting, attendees discussed the most important executive challenges, existing inconsistencies, the necessity of standardizing procedures, and solutions to strengthen the oversight system, and made suggestions to facilitate the implementation process and increase the effectiveness of Article 19. By implementing this approach, the Arak metropolitan municipality takes an important step towards managing energy consumption, preserving national resources, and improving urban construction standards.

The main focus of these meetings is on improving the quality of urban facades and preserving the identity of Iranian architecture. In the first part of this meeting, committee members emphasized the necessity of unifying the urban appearance, prohibiting and eliminating inappropriate and non-native patterns, including Roman facades and non-standard materials. Present experts stated that the continuation of facades lacking identity, in addition to increasing construction costs, causes visual chaos and distances the city from authentic architectural patterns. In the continuation of the meeting, the prioritization of projects based on native patterns and in harmony with the historical and cultural fabric of Arak was discussed, and adherence to technical, structural, and correct design principles in the preparation and execution of building facades in the referred files was emphasized. In the summary section, the facade committee set agendas for improving the supervision process of construction projects and enhancing the quality of facades. Additionally, the files of designers and design offices across the city were carefully evaluated according to the approved regulations to ensure better coordination of designs with urban architectural guidelines. At the end of the meeting, it was announced that the committee for reviewing facade designs in the urban planning and architecture department of the Arak municipality would be held weekly on Saturdays and Tuesdays. The goal of this regular planning was stated to be increasing productivity, reducing processing time, and respecting the rights of clients.
