According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in line with improving quality standards in major urban projects, the central core of Arak hosted a special visit to examine the pedestrian walkway plan. In this program, Dr. Mahmoudi, the mayor of Arak, together with Dr. Faridoun Farahani, a distinguished figure in architecture and urban design, inspected various executive fronts of the pedestrian walkway project and the progress of its operational phases. During this field survey, Dr. Mahmoudi, emphasizing the necessity of revitalizing the city center, described the implementation of the pedestrian walkway plan as an important priority of the municipality for restoring Arak’s identity. He stated that the presence of scientific elites such as Dr. Farahani alongside the executive team guarantees technical and aesthetic precision in the historic and commercial heart of the city. Dr. Farahani also, during this visit, examined the technical dimensions and executive requirements of the plan and carried out a precise review of the upcoming phases. Praising the citizen-centered approach of urban management in implementing this project, he emphasized adherence to standards in the selection of materials, urban furniture, and the preservation of vital access routes, and described the implementation of this plan as a major step toward improving quality of life and returning social vitality to the central core of Arak. During this visit, executive details, traffic restrictions, and the scheduling of operational phases were discussed and exchanged in expert consultation so that, through synergy between academic knowledge and the municipality’s executive capacity, this project would become a symbol of the fusion of modern and authentic architecture in the city of Arak.
